I used to think politicians made stupid gun laws because they were stupid.  Now, I know they do it as ATTRITION.

Non-starter. Won't even get out of committee. It's just more of the same virtue signalling by the left.

Basically ANYTHING semiauto....rifle or handgun....would be considered an "Assualt Weapon", only legal weapons allowed would need to be ".....manually operated by bolt, pump, lever or slide action" .....there are just short of 100 pages of the 125 that list every "acceptable" firearm..........there is some grandfathering of "Assualt Weapon's" but I'm not sure a sane person would ever believe that would last for very long if this ever passed..........geezzzz

One type firearm not directly addressed are revolvers......maybe its not considered a firearm, sorry wheel-gunners  ;)...... thankfully we have career politicians that can decide that and know best   ::)

To bad the drafting of the bill took these fine senators away from their other duties, like balancing the budget and cutting spending.

Schumer was dragged in to this one by the last shooting, (Heaven forfend that they admit a law abiding NRA member and NRA instructor ended his rampage with a lawfully owned AR15!), but he, the little slime devil, knows that "gun control", also known as unilateral personal disarmament, is a serious non starter. They make the stink now, instead of at election time, and avoid the backlash that always comes with such an attempt. This way they can face the faithful and say, see? We tried!
Having said all that, there is nothing so dangerous to liberty as a scared politician, and many Republicans are running scared from the President Who Will Not Be Controlled, and capable of making stupid career ending moves, so yes, contact your elected Congress critters, and le them know you oppose this completely and utterly.

There are still other branches of government besides congress.  And why it was so important to fill vacant seats with Constitutional minded judges, rather than activist judges.

The article kind of nicely spells out why its important .......thanks for sharing
