New (to me) 75D Questions

Hey Guys,
I'll be adding a 75D to my 9mm CZ family on Tuesday.  I'm buying it from a local private party.

It shows some signs of wear since I believe it was one of the Israeli duty weapons once upon a time.

The slide and barrel lock up seem tight.  The bore is shiny and crisp.  It has the two twisted wire recoil spring that feels a little mushy.

First off, if I want to buy a replacement spring kit (hammer, recoil, firing pin, trigger, etc.), would they be the same as the P-01? 

Second, if I want to strip and re-coat without sending it off for Cerakote, what would you all recommend for a coating?  I'm more concerned with the mechanics so I don't want to spend a ton on the finish and I'm pretty handy with a spray can or spray gun.  I'm not opposed to a satin spray paint, and I have a gun if I want to go with a catalyzed system like an automotive paint.  I can even bake it in the oven without my wife getting too bent out of shape if I need to.

Just to clarify please, are you saying you want to buy a can of spray paint from the hardware store and paint your CZ? Probably not. This video is a little dated but shows how to apply DuraCoat aerosol to a handgun.

Same springs you mentioned for the 75B except for the recoil spring. The hammer is different having only one hook and the sear cage is different. But the springs you asked about are the same for both guns minus the manual safety detent and an added de-cocker spring in the sear cage and the shorter recoil spring, the P01 recoil should work fine. The last one I did used the 17 pound spring from Wolff and it was perfect for SD rounds.

Yes, that is what I'm saying.  I'll have to look into some DuraCoat.

I don't know how hot it has to be to bake duracoat.

The last time I baked some paint on a gun (ceramic header paint) I had to work in stages up to 600 F.  For that I completely, and I mean completely, disassembled the gun to remove all the springs and small parts.  Metal prep would be very important, too.

A lot of guys on arfcom (and AR15 forum) say they use a paint called aervoe.  They say it's much more durable than many of the popular paints (like the cheap Walmart stuff I put on my AR15's).  I've not tried any of it, so I can't say how durable it might be.
