I had a great opportunity to test the sights for the past 6-8 weeks or so. I am about 2500 rounds in to this test. I promised Dave that I will give the honest report both good and bad.
This is my first report to Dave
?just FYI . Testing is going really good. They are installed on a steel compact will send pictures later. The sight is robust. I have done one handed reloads against tables belts boots ETC and the ledge in the front of the sight is defiantly big enough for that. can hit the 100 yards gong 3-4 times out of a mag. the front sight might be a bit too tall for a compact but the rear still has room to adjust. If using this sight with night sights a bit of a different story. I tried them with
https://www.truglo.com/firearms-handgun/brite-site-tfx-pro-handgun-sights.asp?catid=E5FDB84FE8F74C239330C1841BDD3D5E they were about ?-1in low at 7yards and that is with the rear adjusted all the way, not a huge problem. but the rear notch is way to small 0 light on the sides of the front sight. Still hit the gong 2 times. That may change a bit on a full size gun due to the sight radius ?
Since that report I was planning to open the rear notch wider to accommodate night sights and still am buy on the next build which is going to be a carry P01. For now I am back to front F/O with another 1000k rounds through the gun. The sight picture is great, had several shooters try it and all absolutely loved it. I was in a two day class I switched back and forth between a shadow 1 which has standard CZC sights (F/O front and black rear) and the compact, the shadow was easier to shoot but the sight acquisition was faster on the compact. I really think CGW has a winner here. And I cannot wait for a shadow set to come out. I will continue posting up dates. Going to try it at a steel challenge this weekend.
PS I am not gentle with guns so an adjustable sight that can survive me is good thing LOL
If anyone has any questions please feel free.
