CZ-97 10MM
« on: July 13, 2017, 12:19:06 AM »
Been reading a lot of 10mm stuff lately, would be nice if CZ would make the CZ-97 in 10mm.   It's probably the only model in their line-up which would convert readily to 10mm.  Any thoughts.

I like my CZ97BE the way it is in .45 ACP.

For 10mm, I chose a Dan Wesson Bruin:

Remember that CZ-USA owns Dan Wesson.

CZ has said they have no intention of developing a 97 in 10mm. There's old video on YouTube of a CZ employee that built his own, but that's as far as it went.

As is currently stands, the 97's open lower barrel lug arrangement would probably not last long under the pressure of full power 10 mm loads.

I'm a huge 10mm fan.  Lots of us would love to see 97 in 10mm.  But... it's probably never going to happen.  Like many 10mm's, it falls into the same category as unicorns and attractive communist architecture.  EAA makes several CZ pattern pistols in 10mm - and the Match Pro is very close in style to the 97.

What about a 10mm that wasn't a 10mm? I think something along the lines of the .400 corbon. Might be more doable than a straight up 10mm. Don't really know if a barrel manafacture would be willing? I would definitely be on the waiting list.

As mentioned Tanfoglio (EAA Witness) makes several 10 MM CZ clones.
I had  my regular old steel 10 MM at the range today, wonderful low priced (400-425) weapon to shoot.
fired a 100 rounds from 3-21 yards and had 1 round in a 7 ring, everything else was 9 -10 ring with some very nice  large holes in the goody areas.
haven't shot this weapon in likely 6-8 months.
I got to pick up a  Elite match in 10 MM if they ever come ashore again.
I would like a 97 in 10 though.

I've said the exact same thing only about 200 times.
