Well first of all you posted your problem on Aug 5. Stated your FFL was going to send it back and CZ received it 5 days ago which would be AUG 12. So your FFL sat on it for nearly a week before they sent it out. Your gun is not the only one they have to look at so it doesn't get priority over every one else's and I'm sure it's been put in rotation to be looked at as soon as your number comes up. If the frame needs to be replaced they will send you a complete new gun as CZ  marks the serial# on the slide, frame, and barrel so they will keep it matching. On the bright side things sometimes move faster than they predict so you may be back in action before you think. Be patient.

When you called on the follow up, did you talk with Randall?
sometimes what one person promises, the others dont know and the request is out of norm. So while the one person is willing to go the extra mile, the others dont know that and can only quote what the normal procedure is.
so make sure you follow up with Randall if he is the one that you intially talked too.

Let them do the magic that they do and it will come back good. They have a lot of business to handle, so please, be patient. I've had guns out for work and 4 weeks is the norm, it seems, sometimes just to get in to the queue!

I don't think OP is upset about the fact that it may take a while, he sounds upset, because he was told originally that would not be the case; furthermore, he had to call to figure that out.

I have experience buying cars/trucks in the first year of "new & better".

I stopped doing that.

It can be hard to get it fixed because it's new and folks don't have experience trouble shooting it or fixing it.

It can be hard to get parts for as the parts really haven't been built up in inventory anywhere - because they are going on the new product to get it out the door to the customer.

If problems start to crop up the service people can be overwhelmed by the combination of the "usual" stuff they regularly deal with plus the "new" stuff they don't have experience with or parts for.

I bought a brand new Pontiac in 1976.  First year for the "new" Borg Warner 5 speed manual transmission.  Mine was built at the factory without a set of bearings on the input shaft.  When it finally tore up (about 3,000 miles) Pontiac did fix it.  Took them 6 weeks to get the parts and get it back to me (no loaner, not for 6 weeks, I drove one of dad's trucks).  Then the night of the day I picked it up the clutch shredded itself.  They blamed that on me, but still fixed it under warranty.  Took them 2 weeks to do that.  Had it 3 months and then had to do without for 2 months.  Long wait times on parts/service on "brand new and improved" is probably a fact of life with many things.

Sorry for your problems.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Big lou, I feel your frustration.
I bought a Rami online from deguns. The grip bushings were loose and one was cross threaded. I appeared as though the threaded hole in the frame was stripped and out of round. I thought deguns would exchange it, but no. They told me to send it to CZ. SOoooo I now have an estimated 4-6 weeks before I get the gun back. I had never even loaded it, let alone shoot it. It was messed up right out of the box! In the meantime I have the holster and 270 rounds of ammo sitting here and no pistol.

It amazes me that a gun can be sent out in anything other than working condition. Of course I guess I could have kept it and shot it without grip panels?  :-\

The first year of Fords new Aerostar van a guy in the office blew a tire and had to wait a week for a new one to get shipped in. It was a unique size.

I didn't wait for the gen II P-07 on purpose, but I'm glad I did.

I bought a 1998  CZ97B new. I still have it and no problems after loctiteing the loaded chamber indicator.

I've had way more problems with Ruger quality, but their CS is almost always good.
