QUESTION??? Since I decided to opt out, and re-reading my CZ emails, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to go about doing that. I know there is an opt out code but I'm unclear as to where I should use it. Anyone know for sure?
The first notice I received on 21 August mentions OPT OUT:
"
TO OPT OUT If you no longer wish to receive a trigger pack, we have a special coupon code TS20 good for 20% off your next order* (must purchase by 12/31/2017). This coupon can be used only once by the customer account associated with your email, but can be stacked with the SCORP25 code. (*excludes sale items)
Again, we sincerely apologize for the extended delay in fulfilling the Scorpion Trigger Swap, we never anticipated that it would take this long.
If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact us at parts@cz-usa.com"
Sounds like if you want to get 20% off some stuff from their website, you use the OPT OUT code (one time use). Other than that it appears to be a done deal.
My experience seems to be the similar as others. I filled out the online trigger swap-out form found on the CZ USA website last year [around May 2016]. Then when CZ USA went silent about trigger swap updates, I was patient for several months. Then (still in 2016), after several no responses from CZ USA to my email inquiries), I updated (drilled the weld) my trigger group with HB Industries [BTW-great company] parts, and the Disconnector parts from CZ Custom [BTW-another great company]. On Monday 21 Aug 2017, I got the email from CZ USA with the apologies, tale of woe, codes, etc. On Tuesday, 22 Aug, I kept on getting "runtime errors" likely due to CZ USA catalog site being down. Today, 23 Aug, I was able to log in to the catalog site and ordered my trigger group swap without issue.....will believe it when I see it delivered.
Not sure if I have the need for the SCORP 25 coupon, maybe last year when I was building my SBR Scorpion. About the only thing I can think of are some extra mags. But, I prefer the steel-lipped mags from Prepper Gun Shop.
I am glad that CZ USA
finally made good on their trigger swap-out deal. Though, the bitter taste left in my mouth after trying to deal with CZ USA won't likely go away for soon. I really like how my Scorpion SBR turned out, but likely wouldn't deal with CZ USA again.
I hope that everyone is finally able to enjoy their Scorpions to their full potential.
YMMV. Happy trails.
