Thanks boomer, using the opt-out code on my next purchase makes sense.  When I first read the email and saw the SCORP25 offer I thought, wow, that was nice of them. Later when I checked out the CZ parts site I see the SCORP offer is open to everyone.  It makes their offer to us trigger swappers seem pretty insincere.

Yep, you're right.  After a year of waiting we should be thankful we're getting anything at all, and, with free shipping.  Plus they were magnanimous enough to let us know about a 25% savings on mags that they are offering to everybody.  Just what was I thinking?

1 year is nothing. Ive been waiting over two years for my MDR. 1 year is avg if you have done anything NFA in 2016. Dont feel so entitled.

Just my two cents

Not sure what an MDR is.

Just got back a form 1 to build a suppressor earlier this month.  You are correct, it was more than a year wait to get a signature and for them to return the approved paperwork back to me.

Desert techs new bullpup. They did all the r&d and built it from scratch. I preordered in feb 2016. Been following it since shot show 2014

Anyway i just got a tracking number for my order from cz

This was in my e-mail.
Read the last line.

Starting Monday, August 21 we began the first wave of Scorpion Trigger Swaps. Starting with the oldest registrants in our system, we sent out emails directing these customers to our webstore to complete an order for a free replacement trigger pack, with the option to opt out and get a discount coupon for use on the webstore. With this swap there is no need to return your original trigger pack.

Ordered Tuesday, August 22nd, at 6:34 PM CST.  No shipping notification as of yet.

I just have the order confirmation in my inbox and the order status shows "processing."

Not in any rush or anything but we'll see if it actually ships out on time.

Yeah, but who would buy them?  I mean, 90% of shooters are less than 1k rounds a year and think a "bad trigger" is something that happen on Facebook.

That and the Scorpion is a tiny share of the market vs. the AR and AK circles.  PCCs are more popular now but it's still a niche market.

What may happen is that people will be willing to experiment on the AK-lite FCG and potentially the magazine options.
Time will tell I agree on the who would buy them. My comment wasn't that they would actually sell. More that looters will do this to try and profit. The American way buy cheap and sell it high. Can't get cheaper then free. Also I am sure they will sell a few. Some people are to stupid to try and read before they buy so there is a very small chance these will sell to idiots that didn't research first. I love gun forums where someone has bought a gun already and go to forum and ask how did I do it's to late you bought it, or is this a good gun for the money. Back on subject though has anyone get their trigger pack in yet?

I'm new here.  I just traded for a Scorpion. Was there a problem with the trigger, or was the problem that it's too heavy etc???

Somehow, I'm behind on this.  Why are they replacing trigger packs?  Is this just because people got the welded screw variety?

Yes.  The short story is:

They (CZ) had one variant where in order to pass certain countries regs, the trigger pack had to be permanently fixed so someone couldn't replace it with a "full auto" trigger group.  (not like those ever come up for sale  :o )

So, they welded the nut and fire control components in place essentially making them non-removable.

CZ knew that law/regulation didn't pertain to Americans, and knew it would become an issue in the US.  Instead of refusing not to import any more scorpions into the US (losing sales) they opted to continue importation using the welded trigger pack while offering a replacement trigger pack at a different date in order to continue selling them.

If you got a scorpion with a welded trigger, they are standing by their word and replacing them.
Very good short story nice work.

Sign into your account on the store website and check your order status. I never got an email informing me that the pack shipped so I checked the store page...already on its way and should be here this week.
