Question about a 75b model

I am in the process of buying a CZ 75B high polish that has maple grips. The original owner said they were stock. I have been doing some research and only seen on more example of this on the internet. Does anyone know anything about this model? Thanks CZ fans.

I can't say it isn't 'stock', or 'factory'. With CZ almost anything is possible.

I can say that I've never seen a picture of a factory CZ pistol with Maple grips, or Allen head grip screws.

Contact CZ-USA and ask if they ever imported anything like that.

Thanks painter. I will wait and see if someone here might have an answer first before I ask CZ. I am sure they are busy over there for something trivial.

The stainless model will have an ambidextrous safety and usually rubber grips with phillips screws, unlike those wood grips that look to be the BOMB, but feel is a personal thing.  Also the stainless versions usually have a more upswept beavrtail.  Maybe a Nickel or Chrome plated standard CZ75B?

I couldn't see the price tag in the photo, but BUY IT!

On second thought, if the owner just sanded and polished the coating off of a plain old carbon steel CZ75B and slapped some nice grips on it, then run away.

If its NIB, i wouldnt question.

however i doubt it.  I can see a "special edition", but that aint one.

the way i look at it and things like grips, are like the rims and wheels on your car.  If you dont like them, change them.   No different.  But imo, it could be worse.  They could be pink.

What's up Tyrone. It is stainless. And I do think the grips are factory. I do trust the original owner.  I paid 750 for the 75b and 75 for a costum holster from Jim Hastings.

What does the CZ-USA label on the side of the box read? The SKU should also help them identify it (you can see what an online search brings up too). I noticed the magazines as standard finish in this case.

As for the grips, CZUB makes a fair amount of non-special edition, custom engraved pistols with grips unique to the particular pistol. I think someone recently posted on one of the FB groups that a local Cabelas has some of these in stock in its firearms library.  Here are samples I've seen from time to time at the CZUB factory store. The screws are usually standard type but I wouldn't complain about stainless Allen heads, much less about whether those grips are original or not [emoji3]. That's a nice looking pistol, trooper.

If that thing is stainless and has everything working as it should I'd jump on it. The polished ones are become rare. Wood grips or not , I would buy it.
