I removed some material from the bottom of the locking block. My trigger now resets properly, but now I generally have to pull the trigger twice to get the striker to release.

Whoa.. what?! :o

You dremeled the locking block and it still doesn't function properly?

I wouldn't be able to handle it if I had that issue.

It fixed the first problem and introduced another.

Is the striker not releasing even after you've pulled the trigger fully to the rear? Almost like the trigger needs to move back a hair further but can't?

Is the striker not releasing even after you've pulled the trigger fully to the rear? Almost like the trigger needs to move back a hair further but can't?

I finally got my HBI trigger and just installed it (a very easy process).  I left the factory Striker Spring, since I prefer to not lighten up the trigger pull weight for a potential CCW pistol.

Anyways, the main reason for this post is that I too am having the issue of the the striker not releasing the vast majority of the time.  As you suggested earlier, when I push up on the Slide/Cover-Plate the striker releases as it should.  So I think you're definitely correct about the "striker-hook" being too tall (or the trigger bar not lowering enough).  My question is, which of the two contact points would be better/easier/safer to take off a minuscule amount of material?  And do you have any suggestions as to what would be the ideal tool to perform that grinding/filing?  I don't have access to a dedicated Grinder or any gunsmith stones; the tools I have available are an assortment of files (mostly course wood files that belong to my father), the "fine" diamond-coated file on my Leatherman Wave, and a standard electric Dremel (with the standard attachments included with the tool, and the additional "Polishing Accessory Kit" that Dremel sells).  Any advice you (or any other Member) could provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks Earlan357.

Edited to Add: Just wanted to update my post.  I was too impatient to wait for any advice, and decided just to go ahead and remove some material from the Striker.  I ended up using my Dremel with the grinding-stone attachment set at its slowest speed.  I took my time, using very little pressure, repeatedly removing minuscule amounts of material at a time, and reassembling the pistol to test it out.  Eventually I had ground it down far enough to reliably release the Striker properly.  Having accomplished that, I finished up by using some of the Dremel's polishing attachments to smooth-out the surface I had ground, then re-lubed and assembled the pistol.

So far it feels pretty good.  I definitely like the feel of the HBI trigger (while dry-firing at least) and I think it will solve the pinching/blister problem I was getting with the factory trigger.  I'll find out for sure whenever I get a chance to actually fire it at the range (hopefully soon).

Thanks again earlan357, for diagnosing the problem and suggesting a solution.

I played around with mine today.

If I pull the trigger all the way to the rear and hold it, nothing happens. But if I pull the rear of the slide away from the frame, the striker releases.

I might have the same issue with my striker.

This trigger is the most pain in the ass "drop in" part I've ever had.

Just curious, has anyone reached out to HB Industries?

Great question! We were wondering the same thing :-)
We do try to keep up on all of the different forums/social media/etc, but if anyone has questions please do not hesitate to contact us directly, here some info:

As several of the members here in this thread/forum have already pointed out, while most P10c models look the same on the outside, there are a few different "variations" on the internals. At this time we believe that we have full understanding of the different possible build combinations coming out of CZ-UB, and our triggers have been proven reliable with all of them. If anyone here, or that you run into at the range, or friends, family, strangers, pets, etc... ever experience ANY type of situation where an HBI manufactured trigger does not "drop in" to a P10 please let us know. We will do whatever it takes to make it right.

Measuring at my HBI triggers, the hole spacing and dimensions are identical to the factory one.  But the tolerances of CMC'd aluminum are tighter than molded plastic, and since it doesn't exhibit any flex like the factory plastic trigger, the aluminum trigger reveals problems that the OEM trigger masks.

I am seriously considering the HB Industries trigger kit but based on some of the experiences of forum members I am hesitating. Definitely like the idea of the flat trigger and lower trigger pull but not convinced this kit works without any issues. Would love for those of  you who have installed this kit to weight in. Thanks.

Received mine on Tuesday, installed it Tuesday evening and hit the range yesterday. I put 300 rinds through it with no issues, even ran some cheap steel case ammo and not one problem. Take up definitely shorter and the break felt really crisp, I don't know how else to describe it. When shooting it with the factory trigger it left a blister on my finger, I  think the shoe was this issue on mine, the HBI trigger no problem what so ever. I hate to hear people are having issues hopefully HBO can get it sorted.

Thanks for replying so promptly. Glad to hear that you are not having any problems. What striker spring did you install? Did you notice any reduction in trigger pull weight?

This is very strange. I just check the paper work on the test firing and it showed a date of 11/09/2017 which, as we know, is impossible since today is 10/15/2017. I just emailed CZ to find out the manufacture date of my CZ 10-PC and pointed out the confusing date of the test firing paper.
