After several years I can finally close the quest for a 1983 CZ 75!

Fine looking pistol you have there.

Do you have all of the years, or is 1983 a particular interest?
I don't look like my avatar!

Thanks eastman  :) I have from 1977 onwards and 1983 was a gap.
I did have an '83 years ago but I sold it to another forum member as it had more significance to them than myself at that time (hadn't started building the collection back then).

Thanks Psyop96! Not the greatest picture to show the contrast of plum frame and dark blued slide.

I wasn?t 100% sure I?d bought an ?83 ? there was only a couple of blurry pics available from the seller and when I called to get date of manufacture that couldn?t be provided but they had logged the serial number (low 75xxx)?that fell within what I believe the s/n range to be for that year.
Obviously as soon as I got my hands on it I checked the date stamp ? it is indeed 1983 production. It came with manual, test target and 2 mags and initial inspection suggests it has never been fired since leaving the factory!!

A very happy holiday season indeed  ;D

Added bonus of having Made in Czechoslovakia on one line. That changed sometime in 1983. Vesele V?noce!

Just stunning, that short rail. First year of official serial production; SN somewhere between 10xxx-12xxx? I like those wooden grips found on many of the ones through the early 80s sold in Europe. Hope it came with the stenciled mags, waffles, etc. Thanks for sharing.

Much appreciated Psypo96 - once again your vast knowledge of CZ's shine through!
SN is right in the middle (11xxx) came with manual, test target, waffle grips and 2 mags (not stenciled though).

I took it with me to the range yesterday for a wee outing - a joy to shoot; buttery smooth and flawless performance  :)

Great looking CZs Blackwatch, i never noticed before that the trigger guards on the short rails are different from the Pre B's.

Thank you for the pics.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

 2 more to clean  ;)
Congrats Blackwatch on those 2 additions to your already impressive collection !!
As mentioned by Psyops previously, the plum finish on the frame is most pleasing ...
Have you given them a test run yet  ?

Aye Froggy - another 2 for the cleaning! Although on the positive side, I had a few days off and all the toys have been through the clean process and ready for 2019  :)

I haven't fired the '83 yet... the '77 was a delight at the range (no sight andjustment required), super smooth action round after round which created a lovely hole in the target  O0

Samples from 1977 to 1987, nicely curved trigger guards!
