Thank you Psyop96 and The Guardian for your interest and comments  :D

It is indeed an original finish 1982 - box came with 2 mags (engraved s/n), test target, standard rear sight, cleaning brush, manual and black waffle grips!

It?s sort of a standard rear sight profile but that one is windage adjustable via the screws on both sides, right? Cool!

Yes, quite crafty having a windage adjustment in the same sight profile as the standard solid version

Thanks! The frame is almost a brownish hue. Very distinctive and unlike any other gun I've owned. There's a bit of a story to this particular gun -  I call it my second chance CZ 75  -

Back in the late 80s, my old man had his FFL, and I had bought a number of firearms through him. One of which was a Beretta 92f that he was thoroughly unimpressed with. I thought it was okay, but my experience with auto-loaders was somewhat limited. He was always going on about the CZ75 being infinitely superior to the Beretta. I had never heard of CZ, and knowing everything at that age, I dismissed his "ravings". I bought Glocks, Colts, among other firearms. Some were very good, none were bad. But I was never in love with any of them.

One day I went to my old man's house and he brought out the box you see above. He was beaming with pride. He had finally bought himself a CZ75. Apparently they were fairly hard to come by at the time. I looked it over and tried the action - smooth. The fit and finish of the gun was excellent. He told me all about it and the reasons he thought it was the best DA semi auto made at the time, and this time I listened. He definitely knew his stuff. Sure, it was a lot of opinion. But opinion I had learned to respect. I told him I really liked it a lot and I wouldn't mind having one myself. He went to the gun safe (it was right there in the den), reached in, grabbed something, and tossed an identical box in my lap. "There you go. Now you have one too."

I was blown away. Dad could be very generous - that part was no surprise. But words cannot express how I felt when he gave me that gun. We went to the range shortly thereafter and shot our twin CZ75s. Man......what a gun! Smooth! Accurate. Just felt right.

Time marched on and I started a family of my own. There were tough times having two young kids and going through an electrical apprenticeship. Sometimes it felt impossible to make ends meet. We managed, but it was not without some sacrifice. The CZ75 my Dad gave me being one of those things. I hated to do it, but I did.

Many years passed. My Dad retired to Arkansas. I became a Journeyman Electrician, and then opened my own shop. Life went on. My half brother grew up and the CZ my Dad had was passed on to him. And later, when my brother had struggles of his own, Dad gave him money to get the CZ back. More time went on and my Dad passed. When my sister, who was executor asked what I wanted from his personal belongings, I told her all I wanted was that CZ pistol.

So that's what I got, among other things including Dad's ever present CZ 70 pistol. And there it is for you to see.

Thanks for the great story and sharing with us, nevada72. The differences in the bluing process can make for very distinctive looking guns, especially since blued ones are rare. What year is it? Would love to see the Vz. 70 too.

It's a 92.

Here's the VZ -

Dad never went anywhere without this gun. Even had it with him while doing yardwork.

Now it's my wife's carry piece for the same reasons my dad liked it - easy to carry. And in her case, very easy to shoot.

Awesome Vz 70!

Thanks! I always gave my dad a (good natured) hard time for carrying such a small gun. But I have learned to appreciate it after spending some time at the range with it. It doesn't like certain types of ammo I found. It runs great on S&B fmj. And if I load all 8 in the mag, it can jam, so I just load 6.

No, not a new, uncatalogued model [emoji3]. Grips and model combination just for fun on a wintry day...

Eye catching - gun & background!! I presume there's a frame mod or two given the absence of safety/de-cocker.
