Unless the gun is severely pitted and unserviceable it does appear to be an original short rail so the only question I would ask is why you have not bought it already. From the limited visibility in the pics it looks like it could be cleaned up pretty good.
I'd say snatch that up as fast as you can.

Timmy75….I think the gun is shiny, and the photographer is wearing red… I’ve had a few shiny ones that were difficult to photograph without adding reflective color…I hope you get it, and I hope it’s nice. This one(one like it) is definitely on my radar for future acquisition…

Lunch today… sauerkraut soup (zelnacka) and Czech type bread roll. Oh, 1982 with blued finish, windage adjustable rear sight and Kummer Dotmatrix Ergo alum grips.

AMAZING piece of history there…Beautiful.

Pristine transitional deep blued. Not the regular polycoat.

This one is simply STUNNING!
I, for one, would enjoy more pictures.

Here's mine that I just picked up at auction. 1979 with an 19188. Unfortunately it did not come with any information an who or where it was engraved, and it's well worn, but it's a short rail.

Nice. What grips are those? How are the talon strips?
