FP questions on different styles of 75's
« on: September 02, 2017, 06:24:34 PM »
Hello,

I have a 87 year model 75 with the long tapered firing pin , where can I get a reduced power spring for that FP?

I have a 95 year model and the fp in more like the new ones (b's) and was able to go with a cgw reduced power spring and all is well , but wondering about this older style FP.

The spring on the old one in question is long and really springy or spongy to me .

Thanks , Kirk

If  you compare the two FP lengths and they are same,  you should be able to install a new FP and use the current springs.
You might ask CGW folks,  and I'bet they have a solution for you.

I see where cgw has an extended fp for the guns with the Fp retainer plate , I'm thinking that may be what I seek":
