Get A Red Dot Optic 4 Scorpion or a Pistol?

Hey guys. I recently got presented with an opportunity to buy a pistol (prolly a HK VP9 LE FDE).

With that said I can either choose to buy that pistol or have a nice red dot for my Scorpion. It's a really tough choice for me cuz I'd actually rather have a nice red dot for my Scorpion but I could always delay that red dot purchase and get a cheaper good red dot like Primary Arms or Holosun LATER since the funds are available now for a pistol.
I'm not too big on normal pistols but it also seems kinda dumb not to get one if I can. But going without a red dot for the Scorpion isn't fun either.  Cuz I'm not a fan of irons.

So which would you choose and/or which do you think I should choose?

I think you already know the answer...you're just looking for verification.  Yes.  Get the dot.  It's what you really WANT.

I'm not a guy who buys things just because it's a good deal.  Now, if it is something I kinda want, then that's different.  But from your own post, I think you want the dot more than you want the pistol.

Also - I could get a cheaper red dot later instead of a really nice one now so I could get the pistol. And the will be able to get a Red Dot But just later.

Yes I basically know what I want, but I would like both. But yes I'm leaning towards the dot.

But am looking for verification just in case I'm thinking wrong.

That is a hard choice that VP9 is a sweet pistol and shoots very well. The red dot is also nice making that a tougher choice. I would get the pistol and then work on the dot since you have gone this long without a few months more wont be hard or do like above post said get it on a 4 payment installment plan.

You can shoot the scorpion with irons just fine, in fact I love the irons. Get the VP to add to your collection. A dot is just an accessory that you can get any time.
