I had a Baikal too, a very accurate gun!
I loved the *clank* sound when releasing the slide!
It made everyone else know, that they had a "russian gun-competitor" close by.
My negative statements too it, is really only that the rearsight unscrews itself during shooting, but not really a big issue, just dip the screw into nailpolish, and it will stick.
And perhaps, that cleaning it with a stick must be done from the front, since the barrel is a part of the frame, and there is no hole in the back of the frame (by the grip) to push a rod through. Besides of that, I really love the spartan craftsmanship regarding the finish and mechanics of it. When looking at it, and feeling it for the first time, I felt it was kind of "blacksmith-beaten-iron" welded together, but the accuracy of it really proved my predjudices wrong!
It is a gun with soul, imho. I used Lapua Master ammunition. It loved it.
The gun is cheap too!
