Dry fire the CZ Shadow 2
« on: September 30, 2017, 06:36:05 PM »
Just received my new Shadow 2. Is it okay to dry fire it or should I use snap caps? Thanks.

The Shadow,/ Shadow 2 don't have a firing pin safety.  It's okay to dry fire without snap caps or an O-Ring under the hammer.

Some prefer to use an O-Ring to just prevent hammering the firing pin needlessly. Shooter's choice.  .

O ring option is cheaper and easier. I had purchased some brass snap caps that were out of spec and got suck inside the chamber.  Not a fun experience....
