I have the best wife ever

Ive been looking at the 97 for a few months now and went to order it one day, my wife tells me to wait due to a financial crisis with our account.   Little did i know that she ordered it right out from under me and was going to squirrel it away untill my birthday. 

Well she couldn't watch me squirm so she gave it to me early.

Other than loctite on the lci , any suggestions?

Not new to cz this would be my third, but first 45acp.

Title says it all. Only suggestion is, don't do anything stupid to loose her. You will enjoy shooting the 97b. I put the hogue finger grips on mine as you need good purchase on this baby. There are numerous upgrades available but shoot it first and see how you like it. This will always be a special pistol for you.

I have both a 97B  and 97BD, and I put the factory rubber grips on both of them.

Other than that, just buy a lot of ammo to feed to the 97

She says it doesnt work that way....if i buy her a gun as a gift i also better get diamonds or body armor for myself.

I bought LOK Thin Bogies because I have small/medium hands and the dimensions of the stock grip made it difficult to for me get an ideal trigger pull. Oh, yeah, and I sent it in for the Cajun Gun Works "E" Conversion (includes the Reach Reduction Kit) and new FO sights.

If I had not decided to get the full "E" package, I would have still sent it in for the Bushing Modification-Conversion ("nose job"). I had put a few hundred rounds through my 97 before I sent it to CGW and my bushing seemed pretty tight and did not come unscrewed during use. But I thought, "in for a penny, in for a pound".

Congrats. Sounds a bit like my wife. She didn't blink when I bought a Versa Max Tactical and S&W .460 XVR in the same week, but promptly claimed the first 75 Compact I brought home. Now we have his and hers for EDC.
