Internet rumors and the CZ97

I was on a FB CZ page today and several people mentioned that the 97 was no longer in the CZ catalog. Anybody heard that here?

No, I haven't heard that and frankly don't believe it.

They may be confused as what is in the CZ catalog is the CZ 97B.

Perhaps they were referring to State of California's catalog (see comments at link): http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-97-b-45-acp-black-aluminum-grips-fo-front-sight-10-rd-mags/

I doubt it as well, but several people commented so I thought I'd check here. Occasionally the FB guys have info before I see it here. I think the exact wording was that is was "no longer in the regular catalog". I looked and saw it in the '17 catalog but thought maybe somebody had info about '18. It would be my luck that CZ would kill the 97 to make plastic striker fired guns for the Glock crowd. The actual thread subject was asking about a 97 in 10mm, which seems to pop up every couple weeks. Either way, I need to pick up a second 97B.

Strange that the Glossy Blue is the only model shown.

No mention of any other finish or the BD either.

The Glossy Blue has been discontinued for a few years now.

Both the 97B and BD are still listed on CZ-USA as still-in-inventory products.

I thought one 97 was enough but a stainless version would be hard too pass up.
