.32's on GB right now
« on: November 02, 2017, 10:47:25 PM »
A seller on GB has a few surplus CZ 83's in .32 listed right now. 2 Good ones for $329 and a Very Good one for $349. I know there are some here looking for them and it's very rare that these come up for sale for less than $5-600. Figured i'd pass it along.

Oh man!

I am short of money right now, but I have been looking for a .32ACP CZ-83 at under $400 for years!!!

Mark one of them sold, I guess ...

Pictures when it comes through.

I was working to get a 'Group Purchase' order together and my distributor sold out over 100 Very Good and Good condition CAI .32 ACP CZ83s in an hour!

I guess you need to pull the trigger quick if you see one at an acceptable price for sale.  GunBroker has a few listed - when this batch is gone, who knows when you will see them again!

Yep - I ended up snagging two for myself last night. I don't need them (and probably shouldn't have bought them with the amount of guns i've already bought this year) but I want to play the lottery and see if i can get a couple in better condition than the surplus ones I already have. I figure it's almost near impossible to lose money on them at this price if I decide not to keep them.

I picked up my two "good condition" ones yesterday.

I would say one is on the very edge between "good" and "very good," and the other one is a solid "good". Both of them were/are absolutely filthy, filthy enough that a detain clean is in order. I stripped both of the down to the bare frame tonight and got one of them reassembled. I'll tackle the other one tomorrow. Just as miserable of a task as I remember it being the last time I detail stripped an 83 about a year ago.

Both guns have immaculate bores and are mechanically sound, holster wear is the only issue. A little freckling on the frame of the worse of the two but everything came off with a bronze brush. I think the "good" one will clean up to be almost as nice as the better of the two.

Interestingly, both of them have the modern style rollmarks. Most surplus 83s I come across have the old-school "mod. 83" rollmarks with the old CZ logo. Both of my guns have a 93 date stamp and the SNs are about 2000 apart.

Overall I am really pleased with what I got.
