Is/was there an issue with the P-07 extractor??
« on: November 03, 2017, 09:49:50 PM »
I?ve have a P-07 vintage 2016 and since day 1 the extractor looked a little funky to me.  As in the back part of it seems to stick up and away from the gun.

In a LGS today and noticed that the P-07s he has on display has what looks like a silver pin inserted through the extractor?  Almost like reinforcing it??

Was there some sort of fix and was there a known issue?

Put a round in the chamber it won't stick up anymore it's like an indicator.

As Doc1500 noted, it serves as a "loaded chamber indicator" that you can feel easily is flush when a round is in the chamber, out like in your photo when the chamber is empty.  Nothing wrong with the part on your pistol.

I don't understand what you are describing as a silver pin in the extractor you saw on the gun at the LGS.  I don't recall seeing any reports of changes to the extractor in any of the P-07/09 pistols.  I don't think they would add any sort of pin to the extractor itself.

Some of the newer P-07's have a loaded chamber indicator in the extractor hence the silver pin the op is referring to.
There is a thread here somewhere mentioning this.

Yep that's the new style loaded chamber indicator. I actually like that design much better than the slide mounted type that is most common on other models like the PCR and the 97B/BD.
