PPU 7.62x39 Soft Point Round Nose Issues?
« on: November 06, 2017, 07:59:16 AM »
I bought 10 boxes of PPU 7.62x39 123gr soft point round nose. I had never bought these before but thought I would give them a try because Cabela's had a sale for $7.99 a box. After making the purchase I read that the shorter length and rounded nose may cause some feeding issues in some semi-auto guns but it works fine for bolt action. I have an M92 PAP and have not tried shooting the ammo through it yet. Have any of you shot this ammo through an AK semi-auto platform? Just curious if anybody has any feedback. Thanks.

I haven't had any issues with it in the AK platform or the AR platform. Everything was happy.

Regardless of what you read each firearm is different. Shoot it and see for sure what it does.

You are correct and I agree; however, there was a lot of negative reviews out there in regards to the feeding issues. I will hopefully get to run some of it soon and report back.
