Curious if anyone had milled their P10c and has a plate the covers the recess when the optic is off?  I think Jagerworks has the option but haven?t seen any pictures floating around.

Jagger Works only mills P 10 for RMR , no other red dots at this time. I just contacted them about mounting other optics and they don't.

The plate option you see on the Jagerworks site is for the RMR sealing plate that goes under the optic to make it submersible...

I don't know of anyone offering a cover plate for any CZs as of yet.

only reason why i would like to have a cover plate for my 07 is if i decide to run my G17 or G19 id like to get both of those milled eventually as well... and not to sound cheap but i mean i got a few other things i need/want prior to getting a dedicated RMR for every gun lmao

I think a cover plate may be useful just as you have pointed out, to switch the RMR to a different gun, assuming you don't have infinite wealth.  Another thing is at some point it may break and go in for service.  Then it would be nice to have a cover.

So... what ARE the reputable vendors who provide this service?  CZC, CGW, L&M, others?  Who has the best price with BUIS?

Fire 4 Effect has cover plates for the P-10C but I'm not sure about the P-07.

That is a safe assumption lol

Not sure about best price but I have had 3 P-07s milled by L&M primarily because Mark has really gone the extra mile to give me exactly what I was after. At the time he was the only one who offered milling with sights in the standard position - my preference - so that was also a factor.

I may have my G17 or P-10C done by Primary Machine if I decide to have a striker-fired gun milled.

Thanks folks.

Do you carry your RMR P07?  What holster do you use?  What is available?

I can see an RMR for my home defense weapon - not in daily carry.  But again, for SHTF, may be good also for various reasons.  I have old eyes and it ain't getting better.

I had the first one milled to try... I wasn't sure if it would make a big difference or what role the RMR'd gun would fill for me.

One week after getting it back I sent off my carry gun. I saved for a while and had a third one done. Now I have my carry gun, practice gun and spare all equipped with RMRs. It made that big of a difference for me. My eyes were old when I was young so as a bona fide old guy now... well you can imagine...

I first carried in a T. Rex Arms Raptor AIWB holster. I would not, however, recommend that. It was serviceable but really lacked the attention to detail I have come to expect from all of the holsters I've used from JM Custom Kydex. From my experience, JCMK IWB and OWB holsters are as good as their AIWBs.

This post shows my carry holster... and I just ordered an OWB holster on Black Friday for occasional range use. Tony @ JMCK is customizing it to use the Safariland QLS mounting system so I can easily interchange holsters without having to monkey with my belt on days I take other pistols to the range.

I just got my P10 back from Jager the week of thanksgiving.  He literally has a 1 day turn around.  And this was on a holiday week even.

With that said.  Having guns with an RMR and a Vortex.  I hands down like the Vortex dot better.  That bigger window make a huge difference.  It is a much faster target acquisition and because of the bigger window you get used to presenting the dot faster than on the RMR.  You sacrifice battery life and some durability.  But it is a Vortex so it is not like they will not fix it if anything ever happens.  Nothing has to mine.

I've read that on multiple places too. That the rmr window is too small and the delta pro is very nice easier to use because of the bigger window.

I will not say it is too small.  But there is just a distinct difference.  The knock on running RDS is that it takes some work.  Retraining yourself of presenting the dot.  If you dont have the gun pointed just right you will not see that dot and have to search for it.  This problem is correctable with training.

This is not nearly as much of a problem with the Vortex and DPP because of the bigger window.
