Going back to the other plastic gun....
« on: November 20, 2017, 11:09:50 AM »
Hi all,  First off let me say please don't beat me to hard for this; but I am getting rid of my CZ...  I tried to get out of Blocks but they just bring me back.   I am weary of all the issues I have heard about the P10C even on this forum.  While mine has none of these issues, I am OCD as hell and it is always in the back of my mind.  (Personal thing)

I understand that I can send the gun back and etc. but I really don't feel like dealing with that and waiting.  I want something I can trust out of the box.

I plan to be back when the issues are ironed out but I guess it's good bye CZP10C for now =(

Please don't try to skirt the classified rules by starting your own classified thread... ;-)

Also, sorry to see you give up on the P-10C. I understand, though... I had a similar situation with the P320. Well, not exactly the same - your P-10C is still drop safe :) - but seeing other owners with problems can undermine one's confidence level.

Also, just to say it... the idea of being able to blindly trust a gun out of the box is a bit of a fallacy.

I won't trust my life to ANY gun (regardless of brand or model) until I have vetted my particular one myself. That typically means 500 rounds through the gun without a hiccup with a healthy percentage of that being self-defense ammo.

Once a gun fails me, I'm the same way. My P10 has been flawless thru 3k rounds. You won't have any probs getting rid of it. Maybe trade it for a P07?..if you want to try another CZ, never had any issues with that either. GL!

So the gun has no issues yet you can't live with it so that's fine but what of the issues with the gen 4 blocks and some issues that seem to be cropping up with the gen 5's??? The possibility your CZ could develop an issue bothers you but the possibility that a glock can develop an issue doesn't bother you??? You have to go the direction that you feel suits you best but I fail too see the logic here.

Hope you get one that shoots good groups instead of patterns.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Your P10C hasn't failed if I'm reading right. Nothing fails till it does. What will happen when that gen 3 fails? What will you buy then?  I don't own a P10 but none of the other 7 CZ's I own have failed in a great many thousands of rounds.

Sounds like your P-10C hasn?t failed you either.  I?m not trying to give you a hard time. I think it?s relatively well documented, at least by anecdotes, that the new CZ has already had its share of flaws. I think most of them can be addressed with some relatively simple gunsmithing, or at least a little bit of patience and a few hundred rounds of ammo down the pipe. Mine has been very good so far, and I?m crossing my fingers it stays this way because I chose to keep it over my P-09.

I hope your Gen3 Glock never fails you, even from a basic maintenance perspective, because by your logic if it ever does, you?ll be psychologically screwed ? ya know, on account of your OCD.
Pretty much a CZ fanboy.

Maybe the OCD in you will recognize any tell tale signs that something is amiss well before failure occurs? :o. Then take photo, send to CZ or Glock customer service to either repair or otherwise comfort you that the suspected OCD wear is normal.  2 is one.  Hash out both guns intelligently, or get your backup glock (or the wonderful hammer featured PCR, P01...) BEFORE ridding the P10C.

OP wants to go back to a Glock, well, ok, that's up to him.. Last time I looked, it was still a free country.I don't know why people get so huffy about it. A pistol is a personal choice, especally if it's going to be carried every day, If one loses  faith in it,  for whatever reason, chances are you'll carry it less and less.  So, it's a good idea to have confidence in what you're carrying, (within reason) no matter what the brand name. (Again, within reason)

The reasons stated as justification for the switch are debatable, I suppose, but the OP can do as he pleases. I doubt seriously he intended this to be a discussion of his logic, though ;-)

Yup, reliability, accuracy and confidence in your ability to use one well.  Or as many of those as meets your expectations.
