how many P-09s sell compared to P-07s?
« on: December 05, 2017, 08:42:05 AM »
In the past month and half I've picked up a new P-07 and P-09.

I noticed that the slide on my 07 is from 2017 while the 09 is from 2015. However the P-09 test target is dated August 2017.

This makes me wonder how the P-09 sells compared to the P-07 if CZ has 2015 P-09s that they're only test firing now.
2009 CZ 452 Training Rifle .22LR
2010 CZ 75B 9mm
2012 Czechpoint VZ-58 7.62x39mm
2015 CZ 527 Carbine .223
2015 CZ P-09 9mm
2017 CZ P-07 9mm

Hmmm, that is interesting. Gonna take a look at mine and see how they?re marked. I bought both mine in about the same span earlier this year. The P-07 was my first CZ, P-09 the 2nd. Lost track of the order I bought my other SEVEN since then...bleep you CZ for making such great pistols!  LOL
My guess would be it?s probably about 50/50 in sales of the -07 vs -09 since probably like us, people would have bought each to serve a distinct purpose in their personal lineup.  Any number of reasons the factory could have manufactured more -09 slides at the time than anticipated complete gun orders dictated. I suspect other gun makers probably do the same thing, so the only possible concern some might would have is if there were any flaws in the 2015 slide design that were addressed in 2016 or 2017 runs or if significant improvements were made to the slides after 2017. I doubt they would do it but if CZ salvaged that slide from a used P-09 then put it on an otherwise new gun, that wouldn?t be a very wise business practice. Personally, if it turns out they also used a 2015 slide in my new 2017 gun, I?d just say great cause it was a marriage made in heaven :)

Based on nothing but barrels we sell, and volume of what we see as far as optic cuts, etc - I'd say it's at least 3 P-07's to every 1 P-09.

Wasn't a fan of the P09, it sat in my safe so I parted ways, putting the proceeds towards a scorpion. I consider it a sin to sell a CZ, even though I never used it, it killed me to do it, and I'll never sell another one. Maybe others have the same opinion about the P09. Thought it was night and day different than the P07.

I like my P-09 better but am going to buy a second P-07 because it's easier to carry.

I shoot my P-09 better and love the balance and feel of it.

I think because of the size alone, the P-07 sells better.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

meh, you free state folks can pick up another anytime. In CA, it's a crime to sell anything not on the roster. You probably won't get it again, without paying a crap load.

I love my 09, better than the 07. Picked up a kadet kit for the P-09.

I went with the P09 for competition,  the P07 was too small, but not small enough for CCW

Although I did think about the urban grey P07....

I got a .32 gun in my pocket for fun...
