Thanks alot for all of the input from everyone. I do have 1 more question. Does CGW have a sight set up for the 75bd that would be easier or better for someone who's eyes are no longer like they were when we were 40 yrs. old? I am 63 and would like to have a set of sights installed that would also help to acomodate my eye sight.

My eyes aren?t what they used to be either.....I find the Dawson Precision Fiber optic set works really well......reason being, the rear sight is blacked out while the front sight is very bright and settles into the notch of the rear sight pretty effortlessly. Put the same type setup even on my open sight rifles....I?m not a huge fan of scopes or night sights....fiber optics make ?seeing? the sight picture much easier  :)

I believe that they do. I went with the Cajun Gun Works EZD sights manufactured by Dawson when i sent my 75 BD in. The rear notch is deeper than most sights and the narrow front post (0.095) allows for more light on each side of the front post while looking through the notch. Apparently they are designed to improve visibility for older eyes. For clarity i do not have old eyes yet (i am 40) but they are not going to get any better... Anything with a flat black serrated rear and an FO front dose it for me atm, but i do prefer the CGW sights due to the depth of the rear sight notch. There are other options for the CZ sight cut and you can have many other sights fitted by having the sight cut reprofiled.  If you do not select the CGW sights you can ship your selected sight to CGW and they can install them for you during the build.

CGW also offers a new adjustable rear sight, it may be worth taking a look at.

Thank you TG. I prefer a full size steel frame CZ my self, they make up the majority of my collection. I would pick up a Phantom if i could though, they are hard to come by in California due to the laws out here.

I found an old Israeli 75 BD off an auction site. It's older, so I wonder what I'd need to do to keep it breathing, maybe send it to Cajun.

I approach ?project? guns from the standpoint of everything will need replaced......since you?ll never really know until it?s in your hands and can actually see for yourself.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I'm kinda torn between keeping it as is since I love milsurp guns, but it would be fun to have tuned up by CGW's to have a superb shooter too. I don't have a 75 BD yet, but love the size of the SP01 I have.

I've had trigger jobs from CGW for both my P-01 and my SP-01.
A+ service all the way!

Replace original hammer spring with a #16 lb. hammer spring.
The CGW Reach Reduction Kit is a good option, especially with
the trigger adjustment screws.  I did find that the trigger
included with this kit had "sharp" edges.  Not enough to cut,
but in my case, enough to annoy - especially when it's cold
and my hands are all dried out.

I took a cratex bullet nose polisher and worked on the offending
edge [by hand] - not with the dremel.  This preventing me from
creating any unwanted spots on the gun's finish.  It took maybe
fifteen minutes, but now it feels very nice.

You can't go wrong with the Reach Reduction Kit.  Just take your time.
Good luck with your CZ journey.

I am wanting to have the trigger lightened and the pull shortened on it. Can this be done and if so who would you recommend? Any help in this would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Good choice on the Decocker!  DIY is the most satisfying and educational.
