SKU# 99041 - Steel compact P01? Looks like 99021

Perhaps somebody is able to give a description of this pistol? Looks just like the 99021, safety, upswept tail, steel, don?t know it it?s an ambi though.....saw one on gunbroker, maybe was a typo.

Since a search of CZ 99041 only comes up with the Gunbroker listing,  I am sure it is a typo.

Well hopefully it is a typo and turns out to be a 99021, that being the case, I?ll be the happy recipient.

Dealer assures it is a 99041.....hasn?t verified the ambi safeties yet......pic sure looked like a 99021...will see when it arrives.

Sometimes there's a one digit difference in the numbers to differentiate between the model with 14 round magazines vs. the model with 10 round magazines.  But that ad says "14 round magazines".

So, who knows.

I?ve noticed that the 10 round versions are usually the same SKU. Except they begin with 0 instead of 9

So there were 2 of these on GB last night.  Only 1 left ? the auction w/ no reserve and no BIN.  I called TechNetArmory this morning, the seller of the other 99041 on GB.  He told me that this pistol does, in fact, have ambi-safeties, as seen by the pics in the existing auction.  He went ahead and told me that this was an extremely small batch of SP01 compacts that was imported by the distributor (CZ-USA I guess); a much small batch than the 99021.  That's all he could/would tell me.  He also said that about 50 people have called him regarding the 99021/41 comparison, needing more info.  So, I'm assuming some of you already know of what I just shared.

Looking at the pics, it looks like CZ had to use a different model # b/c the slide reads "CZ 75 P-01", not "CZ 75 Compact", AKA "SP-01 Compact".  So this is technically a steel frame P-01 w/ ambi-safeties rather than a SP-01 Compact.  Same difference.

Ideally yes, but I?d take a non ambi one any day. I feel so teased with this and the 99021.

Just make an all steel, decocker compact, CZ!!

I managed to get One on Sunday......waiting on USPS.... will post when it arrives and put all to rest......dealer never did confirm ambi safeties for me, said it had already been packaged. Will find out soon enough.

Sounds like ?European? ones have slipped into the States. Saw one that was in the CZUB factory store earlier this year with the P-01 mark. It?s not part of the standard lineup over there. They do not use the same SKU numbering as CZ-USA. It would be sort of a twist in the marketing of the compacts where the P-01 marked slides were originally established as a US market name during the beginning of the alloy D compact series.

Well, the 99021 was imported in limited numbers.  Those that don?t mind, or even prefer, a manual safety should eat these up quick. I?d say the only thing holding anyone back is the confusion behind what exactly this model is and why there?s no mainstream information on the web. Nonetheless, it?s a steel frame compact CZ. I?m gonna try and snatch one up. Who knows when they?ll be another release?!
