Tactical Sport BLUE?
« on: December 19, 2017, 05:00:09 PM »
Hi forum.  First time member and posting.
Tactical Sport Blue. Has anyone seen these TS versions or own one?
I was told by a CZ dealer that these are made about one out of every 50-60 oranges. The only difference I?m told is it lacks the gas pedal and associated threads on the left side of the frame. It looks to me that the front and back grip checkering of the frame is different.  Has anyone heard of these? As many, I?ve been hunting for a TSO 9mm but I was looking forward to the gas pedal. I?ll have to admit the cleaner slide looks better and would be easier to find holsters to work. How does the gas pedal change this specific gun for comp/USPSA classification?
Thanks in advance!
-Nick

The checkering looks like the original TS and in my experience it is useless. The new grip and very nice checkering is a huge draw about the TS Orange for me and I wouldn't even bother with that checkering. Since you can remove the gas peddle on the TS Orange you could get holsters that don't have to account for it if you don't like using it. Dang, unless these are a lot cheaper I wouldn't get one.

From what I have seen.
TSO upper. tight slide to frame / barrel fit.

TSO dustcover, competition hammer, blue grips and magwell

TS style checkering front strap and backstrap, no cutout for gas pedal.
basepads are polymer not aluminum.

$1800 on gun broker through Nichols Outfitters.  I talked to head of gun sales and he told me he had the TSO and this was the same thing.  He either doesn't know his !@## or is very misleading.  He said he had 5 of them just came in the other day and are ready to ship.  I'll hold out for the TSO

It might be a possibility that CZ-USA (or UB) is pulling some funny crap that most CZ fanboys, distributor and dealers even, don't really know what's going on.  There's another thread in the "compact" sub-forum that is discussing model #99041, which no one really knows about.
Pretty much a CZ fanboy.

No funny business.  The 99041 is a steel framed P-01.  Last year they had the 99021, what they called a CZ75 Compact with steel frame but came with accessory rail also.  Both are identical and they both are Bill Hicks distributor exclusives.

99021 was a contract that fell through and CZ USA brought it into the states to sell. Bill Hicks got the entire first batch of 99021 but they brought in the remaining pistols and those did not go exclusively to Bill Hicks.

Have you spoken to CZ USA to confirm if Bill Hicks specifically ordered 99041 as an exclusive to him or did he just get the whole first batch again?

Agree with Over It, no funny business, there's just stories behind these one off batches and other pistols and the shops rarely get the true story. Like the game "telephone" that is played in elementary school. Whenever there is a question CZ USA customer service can provide much more direct and solid information about specific models than shops and distributors.

Your right, your characterization is correct.  Not a BH exclusive but they got the first batch with them deep pockets.  More are coming though!

Well now I'm bummed that CZ is closed so we can't call and figure out what the full story is on the 99041 and these TS Blue's.

TS Blue s are out and about .we have 5.
It?s kind of a hybrid having features of both the TSO and the TS.

Do you see any reason why someone would want the TS Blue instead of the TS Orange? You have unique experience in handling both.

Were these only available in 9mm?

Since it is using the standard TS frame, am I correct in assuming it does not have the higher cut beavertail?
