Rear Locking Stud
« on: December 20, 2017, 10:55:16 AM »
I have seamed to have sheared off the rear locking stud off of my guild stud while cleaning my scorpion carbine. Is there anywhere to buy a replacement? I?ve looked all over the internet and can?t find anything.

Huh...I can't even find it using the CZ Part Finder. It's in the clickable PDF, but that part has no corresponding link, and I couldn't find it manually either. If it's a clean shear, you might be able to get it welded. I have no idea what that would cost.

It?s made of polymer so welding isn?t possible.

Can you post pictures of said part I am at a lose to what part your referring to? Almost every part for the action is on CZusa.com. So we just need to define exactly what it is called. Keep is posted.

Plastic welding is a thing. I know, because I have done it. You can even do it with a soldering iron, though there are specialized heat guns designed for the task. The welds, or mine at least, tend to be a little ugly, so there would probably need to be some sanding afterward, so it's very possible. You can even buy welding rods made of the various types of plastic.

Yes. However, those 4 "welds" that hold the piece together would indicate that 36 and 37 are combined into one component. As 36 is listed (out of stock currently) and 37 is a ghost, it would probably indicate that they are sold as one piece.
