Again, not sure what you?re picturing.

With a captured spring set up, compressing the spring, pulling the clip, swapping and compressing the new spring while slipping the clip back on takes much more hand strength and manual dexterity than assembling a pistol with an uncaptured spring. I?m not saying swapping springs on a captured system is hard to do, just harder than assembling a pistol with an uncaptured spring, which is nothing.

An uncaptured spring is ?captured? by the slide when you assemble the upper, in the exact same place the captured system is.  There?s nowhere for it to go prior to pistol assembly.  It?s no less stable than a captured system.   It?s the same as with a captured spring.  Same thing.

You might be right.  I just found this short video by White Sound Defense, & he makes it look pretty easy.

Did the CGW striker make a difference in trigger feel? All the grit in mine seems to be from the trigger bar engaging the disconnector. I polished my parts but it is still creepy/gritty. The longer I have this OEM trigger the less I like it. Anxiously awaiting the CGW trigger, hoping reduced travel alleviates my issues.

What made a difference in the trigger feel was the HBI flat trigger more so than the CGW striker. Mine has no grit at all.

Did the HBI trigger shorten travel?

Didn't realize they came in black. Mine is sliver. BTW you are going to love the 3 pound striker spring. Trigger pull on my P-10 is now averaging 3 pounds 14 ounces with that set up.

With that light of a striker spring, are you experiencing any light strikes?

Sorry my bad the black striker is the CZ factory one.  I don't think they have them in black. The Grey guns guide rod comes in black and that should arrive today along with the competition spring.

Please do report back with your results from the range. I'm very interested to see how that 3 pound striker spring works to set off primers.

Best regards.

Just got back from the range, put 300 rnds through both pistols without any issues! Mines has the CGW steel striker with the 3lb hbi spring using the ammo below and my friend's FDE P10 has the 3lb spring also but he has the CZ factory striker!

Thank you for the update sir. Based on that picture of your primer, it looks like the 3 pound striker spring is working very well for you.

Best regards.

I fired several hundred rounds using the 3 pound striker without a single light strike.
