Hammer Spring Question from a Newbie

Thank you kind Sir!  I read the link you referred on your previous post.  I might try the Step #4 - CGW Ultra-lite self defense kit in the near future.

But, for now with the 16lb HS do you think I need a lower power PF spring?

You shouldn't need one... I have gone to the CGW 15 lb hammer spring and NO reduced power firing pine spring and had no issues.

I have recently stopped priming my brass on my Hornady LNL Autoprogressive press and use a hand primer. This is getting complete seating and I can reliably run lighter springs even with S&B primers. If you don't reload you should be fine as is, but going lower than 15 lbs on your hammer spring weight will just take some testing on ammo (if you change nothing else).

Thank you very much Scarlett Pistol.  I still have so much to learn.  I don't currently reload my ammo. But who knows in the future.  Right now I am bitten by the CZ bug.

I recently changed out the original hammer springs in my PCR and my new 75 BD
and replaced them with #16 lb. springs. The action is very much improved
without any ignition loss at all.

Thanks for the confirmation.  I currently have 16 lb on mine but unfortunately, I have not been back to the range.  I concur that the action is lot better.

You can also improve your double action with a reduced power trigger spring.

Thanks RedLizard.  For now I've shot around 100 rounds after with 16 lb HS with no issues.  The double action pull 38s way better.
