EVO Pistol Barrel Nut Removal
« on: December 31, 2017, 01:55:16 PM »
I am in the process of converting my Evo pistol to a K version and have been reading about all the problems removing the barrel nuts soaked in Loctite.

In preparation for this removal I ordered the HBI wrench, it turns out it was not needed.

I removed my 18MM three lug adapter, then popped off the anti-rotation spring clip and spun the barrel nut off with my fingers. It had no Loctite on the nut and was not tight at all, I think my three lug adapter jammed against it was the only thing keeping it tight.

Sometimes you win a few battles  :)
