help needed, night sights
« on: January 01, 2018, 09:50:25 PM »
I am fairly new to the Rami and this forum.  I did not want to hijack someone's thread.  I need some very specific information, and know there is a lot of  knowledge and experience on this forum.

My Rami shoots precisely to center at 7 yards with the factory sights.  I want a pair of good quality night sights whose height matches the original.  Please tell me exactly the night sights I need to buy, part number and seller.  I have looked over CZ Custom and Cajun, and cannot determine which ones to order.  I do not want or need adjustable sights.

Thanks,

Frog

When I ordered Night Sights from CZUSA for my P-01 they instructed me to remove the rear sight and look at the number stamped underneath and order that set # from their selection of Tru-Dots. Apparently they are fitted to each firearm.
You might want to contact CZUSA to confirm this.

When I ordered sights from Dawson, they go by exact measurement (using a dial caliper depth gauge) from the top of sight to the top of slide. Of course, the front and rear may be slightly different to account for the parallax effect between bore centerline and sight line.

YMMV

So; CZ installs a new gun in a machine rest; fires it; and then installs sights corresponding to where the bullets hit?  I wondered how they did that.

Yes they do.  I've seen picture of the test firing rig on this forum but can't find it right now.  Here is some info on the test firing history.

I imagine they have some sort of specification requirements for each firearm and if it doesn't pass they adjust the sights accordingly.

Toby
