P10-C front sight "small" dot size
« on: January 02, 2018, 06:58:38 PM »
My other pistols have a slightly larger front dot so it appears roughly the same size in the sight picture. The P-10C front dot appears to be about the same size as the rear so it really throws me off looking smaller than what it really is.

Is there a replacement available with a larger dot or more balanced sight picture?

I'd prefer standard daytime sights until I decide on which night sights I want.

Pretty sure Dawson offers a fiber optic Cajun gun works sells them I would imagine the P07 P09 front sights will fit.

I really don't see where the stock front sight appears smaller than the rear. All three look the same to me.

My front sight has the orange ring around the tritium tube.

The orange is very dull compared to the white outline on the rear dots. It does seem to make it hard to focus on the front sight.

Additionally, the tritium on the front sight is much more dim than the rear dots. I was excited about the pistol coming with factory night sights, but gotta say I?m disappointed.

Mine are the same size but I did have a lil bit of trouble picking up the front sight. I ordered these from CGW
019-425 Tritium Front Sight
00018-590 Tritium Rear Sight
Front sight appears bigger but I think it's because of the white outline.
The front sight is much easier to pick up now.

Yeah I noticed the white dots on my other pistols are similar proportions to the P-10 sights. I think my issue is the front post is so thin that the front dot fades away. I thought about trying the CGW sights hoping the larger dot helps like it did you.

This is the CZ sight picture.

And this is one of my other pistols.

Notice this sight post is wider and taller so there is more black background to pick up the white dot.

I'm not sure why CZ makes the post so thin compared to the size of the white dot. Hopefully the CGW front post will help.

The theory is the thinner front sight blade gives you more light around the sides of the front sight in overall sight picture making for faster sight acquisition.  David

I haven't had any issues with my P10, other than it didn't like steel cased ammo. That being said if the company that makes the sig lites decided to make them for the P10, that would be my 1st choice.

Here's a pic of the of the night sights that come on the FDE p10 vs the CGW tritium sights.

The CGW tritium sights look awfully nice. They would be my first choice if I decide to change the factory sights. Problem is I am shooting so well with the factory sights I hesitate to change them.

Can I use the CGW 019-425 front night sight with the factory rear night sight? Or would there be elevation sighting issues?
