P-10 Sight Help !
« on: January 08, 2018, 11:31:35 AM »
Just bought a P-10 to replace my Gen 1 P-07 and getting used to the striker system. Now I have a question about finding the correct sights for my specific use.

My wife and I walk most every evening along secluded dirt roads near our home in north Georgia. This is not a low-light situation. To say I live in a rural area would be an understatement. The fear is attack by feral dogs, coyotes, rabid fox, snakes, and other non-game animals which abound in this area due to the number of chicken farms. We have also seen the tracks of panther and bear, which is why we don't walk in the late evening.

Before buying the P-10, I went and held as many compact guns as possible. I really liked the larger dots on some of the LEO model SIGs and Walther pistols. At least to my aging eyes, these dots seemed 30% larger and were easier for me to quickly pick up. Are those size dots available for the P-10 ? What are my options ?

If none, I'd consider a rail-mounted laser bright enough for daytime use. I have grip-activated Crimson Trace laser grips on a compact revolver, but those are not available for the P-10. So what's the next best solution ?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

You could look at Viridian green lasers.  Very visible during daylight.

Have you tried a fiber optic sight ?
Everyone's different but, for me they are much more visible than any white dot.
Dawson, CGW and CZ Custom have them available.

Ditto the fiber optics, if not for night time, they really grab light.

Yes, nice big fiber optic.    All of the USPSA, Steel Challenge, IDPA ... guys can't be all wrong.

I'm placing an order shortly for a set with a black rear and fiber optic front.

Rear fiber optic is too busy.

I have another pistol that I sharpied out the rear dots.
I got a .32 gun in my pocket for fun...

I just ordered a CZC HTAC black rear and f/o front. Should be here in a couple days weather permitting.

Installed them today. Very pleased, similar sight picture to the EZ-D's on my match gun.
