The Sig sight pusher is not designed to work on the Pro series. I believe Brownells may sell a generic one that works.

According to Sig's website, there is one for the "P" series and another for the "SP" series:

Would you happen to have a link to the Brownell's pusher for the Sig Pro?

That's a fine sight pusher, but Brownells also sells one (from time to time) called the P500 Universal Sight Tool that sells for about $130 (or a bit less if your have a C&R license).  It'll work with about 95% of the guns on the market.  I picked one up a year or so ago.  It goes with me in my gunbag, now.

The range where I shoot has one of those Universal (the expensive one) and it is TRULY universal.  But I think  you'd have to be in the business to justify spending that much.

Walt,

The P500 is the sight pusher that I used to attempt to remove the SP2340's rear sight (Omega8Omega was nice enough to lend his to me).

It did not work--as previously mentioned, the entire slide would tilt to one side when pressure was applied to the rear sight, despite the slide being clamped securely in the jig.

Here's something that someone has used for the front sight, it may work on the rear as well.

Nylon Punch from Brownells

I've posted this question on Sigforum, when/if I get an answer, I'll post it here

I haven't tried it on a 2340, so you may have found one of the other 5% of the guns.

I had the same problem with one gun, but found that I simply didn't crank down on the slide tightly enough.  (That's why they give you an allen wrench; tighten all of the bolts, not just the main one.)

(On another one, I neglected to back out the set screw. I really felt dumb...)

On a side note Walt, since we are talking about the SP2022, mine is a .40SW.  I am not a reloader, so these are the best FMJ and JHP factory loads that I have found work best in the SP2022.
It loves the Magtech .40SW 165 gr FMJ and for defensive loads, it loves the Hornady 155 gr. TAP JHP.  I have 700 rds of Magtech through it with only 1 misfeed and 40 rds of the Hornady TAP with zero malfunctions. So you can pretty much bank on those two.
