I ordered a Steel compact today with full CGW pro kit and bushing, is this more desirable? I know it's lighter but for a range gun (no carrying) which is a better buy?

I guess I'm still a little confused why you would want this if not for competition. If it's for carry, why remove the FPB? And if it's a bed side gun, why not just get a full size?

I agree.

Want = Want
It doesn't require a reason to make it a valid want. Besides - "'Merica" is all the reason needed.   O0

We live in an amazing time with a lot of options for us to carry. One size does not fit all, nor does it fit their budget and nitch.  So many options to chose from, if one does not make sense to you just pick another one.

I just realized this Shadow Compact is built on an alloy frame. I just assumed it would be built on the steel frame for more weight to be the ultimate compact competition pistol, with no FPB for an awesome competition trigger. So to me, it?s made lightweight for carry, but with no FPB like the Combats and Classics. Not what I expected, but most certainly a collectors item

I bought one from a local gun shop just now for $579 plus tax. Will this go up in value?

You got one of the steel framed ones. 99021 or 99041. The Shadow Line Compact is just over $1,000 and has some diffeeemces. The Shadow Line Compact will go up in value when they are all sold out. Not sure about the steel framed models I mentioned. They were limited runs , but we aren?t sure on total quantity for one batch and if they?ll bring more in. If you search those model numbers you?ll find all the threads about them. Congratulations on an awesome little pistol!

I grabbed a 99041. It?s got what I was looking for. This Shadow Line is a sweet CZ though

I'm sure it will or you can keep it and shoot it.  Shot mine again yesterday, makes me smile.

I already have a Compact-L and a 99021, so.... ;) :D

It's only money right?!?!  8)

K.

It took a few months, but I finally caved... Fed-Ex tracking shows it coming in on Thursday! :D

Has anyone changed any springs in theirs yet? Any before & after trigger pull #'s?

How about a more flush fitting slide-stop?

TIA,

K.

That's about my only complaint.
Seems a bit off that you get the thin safeties, thin grips and then a short fat slide stop?!? So I ordered a standard P-01 slide stop as suggested in the video.
This slide stop isn't an issue in my kydex holster, but I have a leather pancake on the way and I'll likely order a MS VM2 for it as well, so the standard P-01 slide stop should be a better fit for those.

Agreed... I'm going to order a P01 slide stop, some different base-pads for the magazines (hate the rubber), a couple 16-round magazines with SP-01 base-pads, and I'll play around with main/hammer springs to cut the D/A pull weight down some.

P-01 slide stop is the way to go for sure, here's mine.
