So it looks like more 99041s are coming in
« on: January 14, 2018, 01:07:11 AM »
Just saw this thread which seems to indicate that more than just 50 will be brought over:

https://www.reddit.com/r/CZFirearms/comments/7q58ta/more_99041s_are_coming/

Just seems odd since CZ emailed many of us saying that only 50 total were brought over. I wonder where this will lead...

It's for this reason that I don't buy newly manufactured guns under the assumption that they won't make more. If they're popular, why wouldn't they?

I wonder what is the economically feasible and minimal number of frames they will cast for a production run, especially since this one is not in the usual lineup.

Interesting question, 99021 was only 1500 units. Not a big number when you consider national distribution. I wonder how many are in a normal production run of a more common model like the 97B or BAD.

Well, if the first batch was a result of a failed sale to some country/agency and ended up being shipped to the US for sale, I can believe it.  I own one of those (fairly rare) S&W N frame, 4" barreled, fixed sight, small grip, .357's made for a NE state (don't remember if it was NY or PA) police department that refused the production run back in 81 or 82.  That stuff happens.

Then, once that first batch got over here and everyone went wild over them maybe CZ took notice and decided to try a true production run intended for the US market.  Based on the excitement over this run, maybe it'll become a regular production item.

CZ is not a big outfit and they make a tremendous variety of models/sizes of handguns (compare the CZ product list to Colt, S&W, SIG, etc.)

Maybe, when CZ expands production facilities, with that new US production plant, they might increase availaility not just through increased capacity from more "machines" but also from cleaning up their production cycle by splitting up production between the plants to allow longer runs (resulting in less lost time for change overs and higher efficiency by staying "in the groove" longer).
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I?m guessing the KC plant will take the production pressure off on only the polymer frames for now....which will still help out at CZ-UB. I saw the ?99041? version in the home market last Spring but I don?t think they did any marketing of it in Europe. Heck, why bother....Scarlett Pistol will do your marketing; send that stuff to the USA and it?ll get gobbled up!

I don't care if they bring another 15,000 of # 99041.
Two day's ago I got one for $ 629.00 and I think that is fair price for good quality gun.
It's not like I paid for this gun $ 6,000.00

I'm thinking the same thing, US plant for polymer guns. I also think they should put Scarlett in the PR dept.   ;)

I agree 629$ is a fair price. If I didn't  have a p01 already I would look seriously at it.  I still like the decocker though.

Me too. So this one will see more range time and my PCR with the decocker will see more carry time.
With prices like this, I can afford to wait and buy another one with the decocker - when they come out.
I am sure CZ is not staging this "demand" for them, because of simple reason : Their price stays the same. Usually when people come out with the "limited quantity" or "limited production", they also jack up the pricing.

I'd happily do side work for them! First project is a Shadow 2 frame for the compact line up! Technically my career is in data, but generally around customer behavior (market research, data analytics, machine learning, etc.). So they can bring me on to help deliver products that we all want!  That would be a dream job!  O0 8)

Here's a decocker, alloy framed P-01 available on GunBroker, with Layaway if wanted. Just under $600. No bids at the moment, comes up in a day.
