Guess I am whistling in the dark here   ::)  but......... if the loop does "give out" I think there is a good chance to guard against future breaks if the exposed stress crack is rejoined with SUPER GLUE!!!!

My final observation (I think I have too much time on my hands today!!!!  ::))  If there is an inherent problem with these mounts, why did I have such a difficult time locating two (front + rear)still in stock to purchase ??????

I just put a key ring on mine, and use an HK hook. This has worked great for me, and cost effective.

From Yeti site:

Please note that a special tool is needed to remove the barrel nut on the new Scorpion Carbines and the barrel nut needs to be removed to install this QD mount.

OK - the barrel does not need to be removed (my bad) but if you watch the video he mentions  other issues you may encounter in the process.  For me it is not worth opening a potential can of worms.

Mr. E.G. also makes a good point when he states:  "Isn't the issue that rear mount point is what's breaking? Am I getting the details mixed up?"

For me this still looks like the best route to go. https://www.strikeindustries.com/shop/ambush-sling-loop.html

All good points I would say avalanche on the front OR magpul/SI rail mounted low pro sockets front and rear.  The black key ring idea is nice but I personally don't want those pesky heavy duty HK style hooks scratching up my gun.
