What IS Urban Grey???
« on: January 23, 2018, 03:11:33 PM »
It looks off white or beige in many pics.  I read a review that said it was a blend of FDE and gray, but it looks LIGHTER than FDE to me.

Anyone have good pics side by side with FDE?

Anyone have a real pic of the new OD Green Guns yet???

Thanks.

It is a mix of FDE and *light* grey.  Definitely lighter than FDE. Definitely not white.  :)

When I get home tonight I?ll see if I can match it to a paint swatch.

I don't know why but when I see my urban grey P07, the color and suppressor ready features just scream james bond/cold war espionage at me. I love it.

Depends on the brand.

It's slightly brownish grey.

Mine is lighter than a Blade Tech FDE holster.

OD plate carrier, and who knows what color m4 pouches, and acu pistol pouch.

Actually that was a P99 😂.

I get the Arctic Camo thing though - it really looks like snow Camo!

Well, that proved harder than I expected... UG is one of those colors - to my eyes anyway - that appears slightly different depending on lighting.

This is in the ballpark: http://www.colorhexa.com/ddd4ce

Someone with less tired eyes might tweak that and get closer. ;-)

I see a few picks where it looks cool - most look washed out and I DON'T like it.  FDE is better.  Wish they had a darker FDE - which can also look washed out.

Actually the FDE P09 in the "P07 got lonely" thread looks pretty nice.

I loved it at first and still do most days... other days I daydream of a dark gray/green.

It's not a fashion accessory, it's a tool.

I've wanted to do a dye job on my P07 but I don't have the guts. I'm not sure how durable the finish would be.

This looks accurate to my firearm  :)

Here is an image another member posted, my CZ P07 UG looks just about identical to the first warm gray color.
