Who to have mill SP01 slide?
« on: February 02, 2018, 04:51:52 PM »
Who else should I consider for milling an SP01 slide for an optic? CZC is 8-10 weeks turn-around. Is there anyone else that will do a proper job?

Cajun Gun Works is top notch and specializes in CZ's.

I sent my shadow slide to CZ Custom to have the red dot plate system cut. While they quoted 8-10 weeks, I got mine back last week. It took 4 weeks.

Just sent mine off to Primary Machine. 2-3 week turnaround, and I would not be surprised if they mill way more optics than CZC and CGW. Plus, you get a 10% forum discount code.

Can't speak for anyone else, but last year alone we milled just over 400 CZ slides for optics.

Glock I believe was almost 4 times that. For just optics, not counting our other slide packages.

Geeez, I can't even imagine how busy your workshop is. Good for me though, I absolutely can't wait to get my P07 back  ;D Gonna be my first milled gun!

Another reason to go with Primary Machine is their milling prices tend to be cheaper than CGW and CZC (same excellent quality though!).

Again, can't speak for anyone else, but 100% of our work is done in house. And we have a much larger facility and more CNC's than the vast majority of companies doing what we do in the industry. We also have a complete dedicated cerakote area in our shop. This means faster turn around, and 100% control over quality of every aspect. All leading to better prices for our customers with zero sacrifice to quality.

Do you machine for a specific optic or can you use a plate system?

Specific optic only. We feel it's just the best way to go.

My slide has been there 3 weeks so hopefully get it back in another week or two.  Didn't know about that 10% code though.
