Shooters Choice Solvent

Have any of you ever tried this stuff?

If you haven't, TRY IT!!!  (Kinda expensive though)

I never knew how much copper fouling got left behing after using Hoppes for years.

Run a soaked pad through the barrel and the pad comes out completely blue from copper fouling.  It works GREAT.  It picks up all the left over copper fouling that other solvents won't clean out.

Be careful though, this stuff might harm you polycoat finish.  I don't know how it will affect the finish, but I put all of the polycoated parts aside while I cleaned the barrel.  Just in case.  :p

It's under Products and it's called Bore Cleaner & Conditioner

I suspect it won't harm polycoat at all.  But, take a grip off and touch some to a spot where it will never show.

Same stuff is also sold as Hoppes Elite Bore Cleaner.
Also, basicly the same thing as GM Upper Cylinder Carbon Remover, which I use.  The Benchrest Crowd was really into this stuff for quite awhile, but now they are into a Foaming Bore Cleaner.

For cleaning the bore, I've been using Ed's Red for quite a while now.  About to mix up another batch.  Won't use this on polycoat though due to the acetone.
