P10C is back...
« on: February 04, 2018, 07:35:37 PM »
I had sent it back to CZ because the slide plate dropped a couple of times in the first 220 round's.
CZ said 4-6 weeks turnaround and it was 5 almost to the day, not too bad considering it was there Christmas through
New Year's... not much gets done anywhere that week.
I put a Dawson FO on yesterday morning, my sight was a #2 so I ordered a .135 x .100 to try with the stock rear blacked out,
I'm trying out the green rod for the first time, Ive always ran the red, but do think I prefer the green and like the .100 front with the .115 rear.
Since getting it back, I've put 400 rd's (S&B 115gr, Freedom Munitions 124gr and 147 HST's) through without hitch, it just wants to be feed more.
CZ was great to deal with, did what they said, in the time frame they said and were polite, reasonably informative and the gun runs like a champ...
I'm a happy guy!

How is the accuracy with the new front sight?  Does it still have the same POA/POI?  My P-10 has a #2 front sight also and I do want to change it out but want to get it right the first time.  Sure wish CZ or someone would get on board with some adjustable sights.

Awesome!

I put a CZ Custom fiber front on mine along with their plain black HTAC rear - love that combo :)

The Dawson and original CZ sight's measure out the same, blade and overall length, poa / poi is the same.
I've got FO's on other gun's, prefer Dawson's .040 counter sunk rod's to others that are .060 without the recess...
they just seem to work for my aging eyesight (for now anyway!)
I am kind of surprised by the green rod though, for my sight it's more subtle but more visible / consistent in lower light.
I'll have to wait until spring and see how they show up with bright foliage before changing over other sights to green though.
How's the HTAC for carry ?, I've been looking at that... I prefer it to a ramped sight, but it seems a little high profile
and I was wondering if it would always hang up on a shirt etc.

I have the HTAC and FO(CZC) front on mine. I think the HTAC and a Dawson front would be ideal.

I am the same - I use green fiber across the board. I find it much easier to see compared to the red.

No hangups here :) I have a few guns with the same sight setup and don't have any issues with them snagging.

I had seen earlan's set up...
Pretty sweet, wounder if it's too much daylight for me, maybe with a .110 or .115 ?
Time will tell.
