How about the Burris Sig Zee rings with the insert?

If you added a +10, or +20 insert on the bottom front, and rear, you'd get some additional height without a significantly higher ring.

So your suggesting going with the adapter then the Zee rings?

Actually, I was wondering if you could get away with just the Zee rings with a +20 moa insert front and rear on the bottom of the ring, and the other half of that pair on the top. That would raise the scope slightly.

This Burris manual might explain better... https://www.burrisoptics.com/sites/default/files/content/products/manuals/xtrsignatureringsinstruction.pdf

Well, I thought a pair of Burris Rimfire Deluxe Highs would work but the bolt still just barely rubs if you are not careful. I doubt the shims would have worked because the set I have now is quite a bit higher then the mediums. Sorry for troubling you. Now I guess my options are the high Rimfire Signature or the Adapter with the Burris Weaver style. Man you would think these engineers would have thought about all this before designing the rifle.

The high bolt throw has always been an issue with CZ rifles, also in centerfire. They were designed in Europe long before scopes were in fashion and iron sights were used for hunting.

I don't like the look of the weaver adapters, but that's just me.

You know what the options are, so it's your call.

BTW...how do you like the scope?

Love it as far as I can tell. Clear glass. One more question, do you know how much taller the Burris Signature Rimfire high rings are than the regular Rimfire Deluxe Steel high rings? When I called the guy at the gun shop and told him the Deluxe Highs didnt work and I was thinking about having them order the Signature Highs he told me they were the same height. I thought the Sig rings were higher. Once again I want to thank you for your help.

According to Midway, the Sig rings are close to .3" higher than the rimfire steels.

No bother. I don't 'know' a lot, but the scope/ring thing is just a bunch of searching,

that I'm pretty good at.

He doesn't need the J&P adapters for his American with the 3/8 ths rail, but those do add some height.

Just trying to help out painter that's all. I have J&P adapters on both 455 and 452 . 11mm and 3/8.  With med Burris they give me clearance with a weaver t36.

I wasn't aware the J&P's worked with a 3/8ths dovetail. I thought they were designed for the 11mm.

Learn something new all the time.

Will they give him as much height as a rail?

I looked it up and they add .061 in. To the height of the rings. Dip rail is another option. I don't know how much he needs to clear with his set up.
