After 240 hours in California pistol jail she?s been released.

There?s some holster wear that I?ll eventually want to deal with. But that will be down the road.

Awesome. Have you thought about different grips? That is the only thing I've done to mine and I LOVE it. I understand that CZC and CGW do excellent work but even stock the SP-01's can be phenomenal in the right hands 8)

I will warn you though, assembling the sear cage is a PITA at first, but I can get it together without cussing too much now.

Cussing I don?t mind, it?s shedding tears that really bothers me.

The first time I cleaned my Ruger mkiii I had to put all the parts in a box and bring it to my friends dad the next day... but that was before YouTube.

Ha!  I spent a few nights at the kitchen table with the laptop open reassembling one of my MK II's.  I was doing a little trigger work.  After the tenth or eleventh time, I had it pretty well figured out.

Yeah me too. After doing it many times I can do it easily now.

Now that the wait is over, what are you going to do first to it? (besides shoot)

I like to shoot my guns stock for a few hundred rounds before I start tinkering.

Some things I?d like to do:
Upgrade the trigger to a flat trigger
Change the recoil spring
New front and rear sights
Short reset upgrade

I also need to figure out 2 issues I had while shooting IDPA on Sunday

1. Randomly my factory magazines stopped dropping free. My Mec Gar magazines never drop free.

2. During my last run when I was done shooting I cleared my pistol, pointed in a safe direction, and went to pull the trigger to drop the hammer and holster.

When I went to pull the trigger the trigger locked up and would not drop the hammer. It was like I had a mag locked pistol. It?s never done that before and I can?t get it to happen again.

I?d appreciate any helped on those 2 issues. I did buy the pistol used. The seller said that it was stock.
