97B"E" warm day 11 out of 20 x-ring hits in timed fire practice
« on: February 17, 2018, 10:08:28 AM »
I went to the range on Friday even though the winds were 15-20 mph from about 8 o'clock and it was cool.  I just needed some trigger time with the Kadet and the 97B"E".  Good results with the Kadet, as always.  I was just going to limit my 97B"E" practice to 50 yards, but that went well so I set up a timed fire (5 shots in 20 seconds, twice per target, two target sequences on one piece of paper, 25 yards, standing, single hand, red dot sight, Atlanta Arms 185 gr JHP)

Here is the result...

I think this is the first time I've put over half the rounds in the x-ring out of 20, with the .45.  I still flinched off a few shots, but the wild shots (7 and 8 ring)  are becoming less frequent and the perfect shots becoming more frequent.  This is good.  This is not easy, however.
