CZC Mag Base Pad
« on: February 22, 2018, 06:55:29 PM »
Can the P09 CZC extended base pad be used on the 15 rd P07 mags?

edit:

never mind! Found the correct base pads. They're out of stock though :(

I asked the question before when those were aired. I would think the p07 and p10 use the same mags since the mag bodies are being made with both types of mag release slot. I liked the clean look of the p09 mag with filler basepad. They had a longer basepad to fit the p07 mag to increase capacity but that requires new springs.  If there is a slight difference in the bottom of the grip area between the p10 nad p07, then a little sanding would probably fix it.

The bottom of the P-07 grip has a different profile than the 09 and 10. I've tried P-07 extensions on my P-09 and 10 and they don't extend as far forward. I would expect an 09 extension to protrude at the front of the 07 grip.

I run the CZC 140mm P09 Flush Fit Base Pads with my 15 rounders.  I can just barely squeeze 19 rounds in there, but only load to 18.

Is a stronger mag spring needed for that base pad or are you using the original spring?

Original spring.  The 15-round P07/P10 and 19-round P09 mags both use the same mag spring.

Oh neat... I wonder if they're the same as the P07 +4 base pads then since that's basically the same claim. I thought they were the same because P10C mags are the same as P07 mags. Have you thought about using CZC followers to get that extra +1?

I realize a CZ P07 with 19rd capacity isn't really gonna be super competitive for CO anyways.

Stock followers here.    All the extensions technically fit, but the P07 extensions have extra aluminum in the rear to better match the backstrap contours, so they don't match up with the front/rear of the p10 grip very well either.  I like the p09 extensions for their lower profile.

I put the plastic 2 round extension pads that came with my P=07 on, and the stock springs went back in. No problems with function. They look just good enough in the gun I left them on.
The P=07 is the only pistol I have with mag extensions, and will probably be the only one.

Ahh, gotcha thanks.

I guess I'll just hold out on the P07 extensions since I need to wait for a holster anyways.
