P-07 sear spring
« on: February 22, 2018, 07:03:19 PM »
I have installed the CGW short reset kit with the reduced power blocker spring in my P-07.  I have the 92000 hammer and sear spring kit on the way.  I know, I should have ordered the whole kit at first, LOL.  Just wondering which sear spring is being used with their hammer by most of you?

Using the weaker .018" yellow spring from the pro kit, If I was going to carry the gun I would change it to the heavier one

I use the heavy one in all three P series pistols I have.  Trigger is just too light for me with the CGW hammer and stock spring.  But I like a heavier trigger than most people, even in a match gun.

Thanks.  I'll start with the .018 and see what I think.  They say you must use the .018 or .020 in the P-07.  I am running a 17lb hammer spring.

I will say that the Short Reset Trigger kit changes the gun completely.  If the hammer takes out the tiny bit of creep that's left (pretty sure it will), it will be an amazing trigger and gun.

Okay, I got the hammer and sear springs today.  Got everything polished and new parts put in.  Using a 17lb Wolff hammer spring for now but may try the 18lb spring also.  Using the .018 sear spring and I must say I like it.  Just right at 3lb single action crisp as glass pull with the decocker, and 8 1/2lb double action pull.  Love the short reset and crisp trigger.  Can't wait for it to dry up a little so I can get to the range.
