Question about mark on new BREN 805 carbine
« on: February 24, 2018, 01:31:38 PM »
Hi everyone! I just picked up a brand new Bren 805 carbine. I haven?t shot the rifle yet, but I?m hoping to hit the range soon.

I noticed a mark on the inside of the receiver near the barrel. I?m wondering if anyone else has a similar mark on their Bren rifles? It is purely cosmetic and doesn?t bother me one bit, I?m just curious if this was a slipped tool during manufacturing or if this is somehow a part of the manufacturing or import process. Thanks for any input!

Looks like a scuff. The bren is a tank and is made to handle 7.62x39 as well so i wouldnt worry. Your star chamber will continue to get normal wear on it.

Was this from Bud's?

Maybe it a factory blem hence the lower costs...however I wouldn't sweat it...my bren doesnt have that mark...but it was one of the first FDE rifles in country.
