while I was cleaning my shadow 2 tonight I noticed that the front sight has some play to it, it moves a little bit,
is that norml? I thougt it was a screw in there but it's a pin so I don't see any way to tighten it up if it needs to be?

I have a fiber optic front on three of my CZ's and I have no movement/play. So I wouldn't say it's normal, but I'm not sure how much of an issue it is.

The sight itself should not move. The FO rod might move very slightly front to rear and isn't an issue.
That pin also holds the bbl bushing in place.

If it's the fiber optic rod that is loose (front to rear play/movement) can't you put a flame off a lighter near either end and have it swell/melt backwards to tighten it up?
If it's the whole sight (metal base) that is loose in the slide it's the first one I've heard of (but anything can happen - and does on occasion).
If I had one that was loose I'd take a small center punch and dimple up the flat/horizontal surface in the slide in the sight channel then insert the sight into the slide and reinstall the pin. I had to do that to a CZ 75 Compact I installed a set of night sights one. That rear sight (factory was tough to get out and the new sight was loose.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09. What is wrong with me?

Also...some fiber-optic-bearing front sights come with a very small set screw that sits under the fiber optic rod. I know that ones from Dawson and CZC do. So check if that's installed and/or tightened down. You'll have to remove the fiber optic.
If that little set screw is loose, it could contribute to the movement.

Yeah maybe a little shim and some loctite. The hole for the crosspin may also have also been drilled too large somehow.

My shadow 1 had a little play with the stock front sight. It had no set screw. You can remove the sight and use a punch to peen the dovetail edge a bit which will make it fit tighter in the cut out. Some locktite helps too.
This was a temporary fix on mine and eventually it started wiggling again. Finally, I just replaced it with a Dawson and have been pleased with installation (no need to drill) and performance (smaller diameter fiber optic rod).

Any resolution on this? My Shadow 2 front sight has also a little play. Not the fiber optic but the actual metal front sight. I'm thinking of contacting CZ CS.
