I just bought my first CZ, a decocker PCR aluminum frame. I immediately ordered a race hammer, just because it looks better and gives more bite for my thumb, then had to order the install kit because my sear cage came apart with my homemade slave pin, don't get me started on the fun I had getting it back together...lol. but went ahead and got the self defense ultra lite kit, which has the 2 different hammer springs, an extended firing pin, a firing pin block spring. Installed easily. My question is...I am a 1911 guy, and I've always been told to do the "pencil" test for a firing pin....place a pencil, eraser down, in the barrel, and dry fire, and it should launch the pencil at least as far as out the barrel.... Now I tried this with the stock firing pin and spring, but didn't swap back to the stock pin block spring... With the new parts, it just barely moves the pencil, but is still about the same as the original parts, minus the block spring....I just didn't think the tiny spring in the pin block was a factor....is this normal??? My 1911 launches a pencil, are CZs just different, and as long as the pin comes out the breach, I'm okay? Haven't shot it yet, which will tell all....I just like to head problems off before I get to the range....thanks
